Day 66-Grumbling
This passage indicates the grumbling originated from the rabble. Evidently these were Egyptians who left Egypt with the Children of Israel. Though they experienced the same things they were not God's Chosen people. They were in effect counterfeits. Then their complaining was contagious. Everyone forgot all of the miracles and took for granted all of the blessings of God. This passage teaches me the importance of counting my blessings from God frequently and praising God as often as possible. when we have an anttitude of gratitude and praise, we will be less likely to grumble. Also this passage teaches me the importance of being a positive influence. I'm want to be and am learning to be a "Calm, non-anxious presence." Not to react emotionally to situations, to step back, count to ten, pray for peace and insight instead of erupting like a volcano or complaining. I'm a work in progress (ask my wife) but the better I get at it, the happier I am. Alot of happiness has to do with the state of our significant relationships. And the state of my relationships is largely dependent if I don't give into negative emotions and act peacefully and lovingly. This is contagious as well.
