Day 65- Cloud
God is Spirit. As Spirit God is invisible. And God is omnipresent, which means all of God is everywhere all at the same time. God can manifest, make His presence felt. God did this for the Israelites. After the debacle of the Golden Calf incident, this tangible evidence was important. Other Bible commentators said God's presence had other tangible benefits. The desert sun is very bright, scorching hot. The Presence of God as cloud gave the Israelites, shade from the damaging sun. At night the desert is very cold and dark, how could the Israelites found enough wood or oil for warmeth and light. God's presence manifested as a pillar of fire provided heat and light. For me, my wife Iris, is the most tangible evidence of God's presence and goodness to me personally. I usually wake up before her and when I look over at her sleeping beside me, I almost always spontaneously break into a prayer of thanksgiving to God, for her.

awww that is very sweet. i think your relationship with Iris is very cute. I can tell you guys love each other very much. I am happy to see that you guys have found each other and that God has blessed you guys with each other. I hope that i too will find that same "someone."
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. I really do see Iris as a gift from God, one I really don't deserve. I think that's a sign of a good Christ centered relationship. As long as I think and act like that it's ok. It's when I get selfish that the trouble in relationships start. I am praying that all of you will develop satisfying, mutually respectful and beneficial, healthy relationships which glorify God.
ReplyDeletewow mark, that's really awesome. it totally reminds me of Phillipians 1, [paraphrase] "i thank God every time i think of you!" like WOW, that is the vision of fellowship i should keep in my head... just thank God for everything He is doing in our lives, especially the ones that stick out so blatantly.. like my family around in my living room. GOD, THANK YOU!
