I think God rarely gives us the whole picture of His plan for our lives. I think it gets revealed to us, step by step as we walk with God in trust and obedience. I think if we could see the whole picture in advance it would freak us out.So God lets us in on it as we follow Him day by day. God equips us and offers us opportunities, and if we have 20-20 spiritual vision we can figure out what God is up to. For most of us, the Will of God is probably best understood in retrospect. There are parts we will not completely understand until we get to heaven.
Dom has taught us the importance of being F.A.T. (faithful, available, teachable). As we become more and more F.A.T. more of the time and in more areas of our lives, God's will for us will be accomplished for sure.

I was taught the F.A.T. thing by the pastor before Pastor Sonny (Pastor Samuel Oey). Probably the first area that most Christians suffer from is being AVAILABLE. We busy our lives with so many things...sometimes just so we can say we're doing something. We do that because the world tells us you're a "nobody" if you don't have something going on...as if "resting" or being still is an evil thing. How many of us put stuff on our "bragging" page (aka Facebook, MySpace), on the "status" bar, just to show the rest of the world that we have something "going on" in our lives? I also see people not being available to God in our church, across all ages. People are too busy doing their own thing...so that they don't have time to fellowship with one another...and even more importantly, to fellowship with God one on one...and to have time available when God knocks on our doors with a special/awesome task! Some of us wonder why God doesn't send us on some awesome adventure...well, it's probably you're too busy doing something when God was going to call on you...so He went and asked someone else! Some of us even busy ourselves with so much "church" things...that we barely have time to breathe. It seems to make sense though, if we busy ourselves with church things, then that's ok right? Sometimes, church makes us think it's bad to say no when we're asked to do something. I think balance is very important...and chosing wisely things we really believe God is calling on us to do. Sometimes we just say yes out of obligation, guilt trips, or for personal satisfaction, all wrong reasons when serving God. I believe that some of us need to actually do less...BUT...to do those things that we are called to do with EXCELLENCE! Focus on quality and less on quantity. All of us though, have a place in the fellowship and in the church. If we can all pitch in, and do those things that God has specifically in mind for us to do, then the work at hand will not overwhelm us. So for those of you that are super active, slow down a bit, evaluate, pray, ask God which things He wants you to let go of...and which things He wants you to do even better (with the free time you've gained from letting go other things). And for some, it's time to get in the "ballgame"...stop watching from the sidelines. Faith needs to be exercised...if it's not, then you just remain a spiritual baby, crawling on the ground and needing to be fed by others!
