Day 55-Before and After
The children of Israel's experience of liberation from slavery can be seen as a metaphor for salvation. Similarly sin can enslave us robbing us of the ability to live freely. Though I grew up in a Christian family, it took a number of years before I could take ownership of my faith. I spent a lot of time living one way at home and church, another way at school and with my friends. I tried to please everyone parents, teachers, friends, church people, myself. The result was I was frustrated and confused. It wasn't until I encountered God directly that I was able to break through the confusion, Most of you heard my testimony about the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, so I won't go over it again. But when i was able to surrender to God, I got freedom and a new sense of identity.
