Has God rescued you before? Do you need rescuing now? ahhhh....i can't believe Tim was thinking the same thing. If you (Tim) are reading this....turn off your psychic powers!!!! ....just kidding XD, but thank for your thoughts. I might be repetitive of what he said though. When the Israelite were in the desert, they questioned God and Moses. They were asking as to why they were being rescued just so they can die. Well, this is funny because it reminded me of us. Most of us has been blessed so much. God cursed the Egyptians, but spared the Hebrews. I feel like we have been spared so many times. I mean we have our freedom, necessities and more. We do live a good life. It is only when we are in a situation that seems bad to us is where we panic and question God. I feel like sometimes we need these dilemmas. It gives us a sense of reality. There are people out there who doesn't even have it as good as we do. Although our hardships are not even to compare to their hardships, we have hardships to at least even the playing field to a small extent...i wonder if that makes sense....
anyways, I feel like I am already rescued. I am rescued from living my life alone and rescued from going to Hell. Once i started to have a relationship with God, i knew that i will be constantly rescued no matter what i am doing. It is only to us that the times we are being rescued is when we are in danger......well to me. For the Hebrews, although they had a lot of hardships, i think it was hard for them to believe that they were finally given the freedom they had been seeking. It was too unbelievable and too good to be true. They were probably irritated that God seemed to be a let down in the end.....but it was not the end. Well, i think we should not be like..."How dare they get angry, they have no right to talk back especially when God has set them free." It is not how dare them, it is how dare us....yeh that kind of sounds funny haha. I bet we would react the same way. I guess it is just our human nature, but despite this, God put up with them and never let them go. God has put up with our selfishness and He too will never let us go.

you know its funny michelle...have you thought that ALL OF us christians have the SAME holy spirit in all of us?! no wonder why sometimes we think the same....XD
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY, steph :]. michelle, that part where you say "i already feel like i'm rescued" really hit my head hard, and i thank you. typically we're always in a "damsel in distress" state where after God has rescued us. we always WANT to be in a state of "oh God, save me", but then i forget SO quickly: GOD ALREADY SAVED ME! haha, i mean, wow, that is so amazing! puts a heavy light on that pity-train i always ride for myself. thank you michelle =]
