Day 70 - The People Rebel

Numbers 14:1-44
"What 'giants' cause you to fear? How do you respond?"

i think this passage can relate directly to today's culture and the mentality of the World (<-- capital "W"). i'm thinking about media, school, friends, even the basic ideals of the World; and i notice that it's all saying that it's all about ME doing it MYSELF, or WE so to benefit ME. quite honestly, i see it everywhere. this feeling of "i can do it myself", "take control of my life". the Israelites foolishly, even after seeing all the (insert word that would even POSSIBLY describe) miracles that God poured out on them, decides "lets take on the Canaanites WITHOUT God!" *slaps forehead...* but even as i see all these Israelites in my head, i'm starting to see the reflection staring straight at my face, because this is what i do all the time. "i'll do this by myself." i guess this is the thing that blares out the most blatantly for me from this passage. granted, theres a kazillion more things these verses are teaching us, but i choose this part for now xD..
