Day 63-Eagles Wings

That's a very powerful image: an eagle soaring high in the sky. Remember the scenes from the Lord of the Ring movies, where whenever the situation seems most desparate, the eagles show up . They rescue Gandalf when he is trapped on Saruman's style. When Frodo and Sam have destroyed the ring on Mt. Doom, and the lava flow is about to incinerate them, the eagles come to the rescue. This image is repeated in one of my favorite verses: Isaiah 40:26-31. This image is one of the most powerful promises of God to protect and care for His own. I pray all of us will take comfort in this image, and live on the basis of this promise, and will always find that God is faithful and keep His promises.
