hmm...what is clouding our view from God's plan...? i guess a foundational question before this one could be answered is "what is God's plan?". typically this is one of those terms that the church uses so often it becomes cliche and its meaning becomes so lost or so abstract over time that (at least for me) its real definition/meaning has been forgotten... so what is "God's plan"? my family discussed this concept, like michelle (except michelle added more to the thought. thanks michelle!). i don't think our answer was completely conclusive regarding what exactly God's PLAN is for our lives, but we talked about how through everything, we should trust God and what He DOES have planned for us. what that is, i'm not exactly sure, but i'm thinking it has to do with us drawing closer to Him and in the end bEING with Him.
so once that is (kinda) sussed out, what is clouding? for me, almost everything and anything can distract me from keeping my eyes on what God wants in my life. school keeps me busy. my own mind has me analyzing and thinking too much. that and every tiny circumstance seems to at least for several moments distract me from God's plan. this devo is a good reminder. the desert, you know? that's how we feel sometimes and our attention is drawn to our present circumstances, but ALL that time the Israelites were in the desert God never ONCE left them... AND how quickly they forget who dramatically liberated them from slavery; similar to how we forget how Christ spectacularly (but at a steep cost) saved us from slavery as well.
mom says i'm being "cherng hey" (long winded). but this stuff is awesome. :].
