You shall make yourself an idol in any form
You shall misuse my name
You shall work all the time even on the Sabbath
You shall NOT? honor your father or mother
You shall murder
You shall steal
You shall give false testimony
You shall covet your neighbor
Hm...
In my eyes and perspective...I bet more than 50% of the world including CHRISTIANS are already doing some of these rules....
You know what will happen if God had changed those ten commandments? I bet everyone would believe in Him because they will enjoy following the new ten commandments...It is SO EASY to go with your sinful nature and just SIN.
The world will be in TOTAL CHAOS
People will steal from each other like crazy...who's going care? God says so.
Breaking windows and just take what they want....
People ripping each other off with trades or business deals....
People look at marriages like its no big deal
People won't appreciate their spouse
People will compete like mad bunnies when they see their neighbor have a better TV or better car
People won't take a break to just worship God or even acknowledge Him..they are too busy 24/7 doing other self centered things
You won't be able to trust anyone's word because lying is okay, it doesn't hurt anyone that bad
don't appreciate your mothers or fathers, who cares they always take the fun out of everything, it's my life, let me do what I want. I don't care what my parents think...
People killing each other like there's no tomorrow, like you can always get new soldiers if some dies, people kill the other because they are jealous of something they have...
I just think God works better when I say Oh My God! or JESUS CHRIST when I stub my toes...
When I use other names...Oh My Kelvin! or Oh My Edward CULLEN!!! Yeah it just doesn't have the same ring to it...Oh My God sounds better...
Like Oh my Gawd! Brad Pitt is SO HOT! I want to follow his every move! His hair is just so brown and soft! His body is a great turn on! His perfect skin is just brilliant. I love everything about him! I want to stalk him! I'm going to post on my wall every picture I can find of him! I will never get tired of staring at him! I'm going to make him my idol because his image is very appealing to my senses and what am I going to lose if I make him my IDOL?
Wait.. OH WAIT!!! The WORLD is already doing many of this!!!!! Whoahs! They are just totally taking control of themselves and calling it opposite day on God's commands!
and that list can keep going...but I shall not bore you with more...it's already depressing watching the news or reading it nowadays...
Aren't you just so glad God gives us boundaries. I know I am! Without God's ten commandments, I wouldn't know how to live a holier life and why would I? It makes sense, like its really reasonable. Without boundaries, things will go CRAZY, the world will turn upside down and everything unbalanced! Isn't it better for people to be CIVIL, polite social interaction? Not like SAVAGES....wild and out of control, vicious...
Well I rather live in a civil world. I want rules because without rules, human nature will unknowingly throw the world into a world full of offensive acts upon each other, we will all hate each other because we probably have killed friends or family members and that's because we wouldn't value life at all. We won't look at each other with uniqueness. We will disrespect our mothers and fathers and who likes to be disrespected? i know i really dont! That's why I give respect to get respect.
Take our spouse for granted and go give ourself away to another woman or man. Why not? This other woman or man is cuter or prettier. They don't nag me to death. They fulfill my pleasures.
Hm...I kinda changed the question...oops....uh...if you read through all of this..then uh...CONGRATULATIONS! heheheh...ok I think I ranted on enough. I must admit, some bitterness towards the world is taken out a little out on here....

haha hey stephanie...i just love your point of view on this question. I totally agree with you on all the things you said, i also like how you got really specific. you are right on how it is so easy to just go with your sinful nature and just sin. you feel more free and unrestrained. actually when i think about it, the thrill is only temporary....if you think about it, we don't look at the situation in long terms. for example, murdering someone is like stealing a life. the murderer get this satisfaction for getting rid of this person for some certain reason......but if that person really has a heart, he/she would feel guilty for a long time. The killing was a satisfaction for only a moment, the feelings and consequences will last longer than that. When you kill someone, you are basically stealing part of a loved one's heart.You are stealing future memories that people can have with this person. you are stealing future contributions that this person could have made. see.....the murderer wasn't thinking about others, he/she was thinking more on themselves. what happens if we are selfish (which we are at times)? well, there's no love, trust......these are the things that are long term, well it can be if there is an effort in making it long term. why settle for temporary, when we can settle for everlasting.....whoah sorry i got off into a tangent...
ReplyDeleteok anyways, i love how you said that having a boundaries is a good thing. I totally agree because without boundaries, we would be out of control. Laws are what keep people in check, it leads them to distinguish what is right or wrong....although there are times where we don't agree with these laws. That is why there are always changes to these laws....always trying to change them because there is a wrong and we feel like we need to correct it. that is when we put these laws into our hands and change them. well God's law is perfect, they don't need to be changed. The reason our world is corrupt or chaotic is not because these laws need a tuning. It is because we manipulate God's law for our own benefit. Our consequence is living in this chaotic situation. Probably it is because we feel like it is restricting ourselves from our desire and temptations....but is it really our desire and temptation or are these desires and temptations in work for another aka satan...like are we just unconsciously following him to his desire, but thinking that some of these temptations are what we really want.....but what do we really want? it is obviously not corruption...right? ahhh sorry sorry another tangent, i should stop now haha

o the whole idea of stealing when murdering came from this book called the kite runner. it is an awesome book and i highly suggest it to anyone, well i changed the concept a bit XD and sorry i think some of the stuff i wrote out makes no sense...it is all in my head and it is hard to explain but thanks again steph XD
