Tuesday 12.30.08 (Day 48)

Hmm... that question really got me to think. Well my example is the same for the first one, becoming a Youth Leader at a Church that I have never been to, not knowing everyone (well only a few people), and not knowing the youth who I was going to work with. I was really shy, when we had to show our stuff by quick thinking, like this activity we did in separate groups where we had to advertise whatever we had in a limited amount of time, and I was the only one that actually paused to think of something, because I didn't know anyone in that group with me and I think I was the last one to go up because I wanted to see how the other people did it. I know I didn't know God that well back then, but I think that was my calling to finally to get to know him even though I didn't really learn much about Him, I got to know Him at least a little as a start. I even got reunited with some old friends I haven't seen since middle school, because some people at Cameron House knew them and invited them to Club during the summer and it was really nice to see them again. And I think that really helped me break out of my shell of shyness as I have said before in my first post, and I realized that just being myself is MORE than enough to meet someone new, and even though my first time being there I was in a corner looking around at the room of all the little cliques scattered, but one person who was also new came up to me and we started talking and became instant friends like in Kindergarten.

so short ><

  1. Hi, Mayen! Isn't God amazing? Nothing in our lives happen by accident. God works through everything we go through to develop us into His people, to bring us closer to Him, so that we can share our lives with others who need Him. Thanks for blogging!
